Steve Ajao has been steeped in the Blues for 50 years from his childhood days when his Nigerian born father would surround himself and his family in sounds from the greatest Blues and jazz artists around.
On listening to the work, it's easy to hear the huge influences that come from the likes of Jimmy reed, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Guitar Watson, Willy Dixon and Jimi Hendrix. Hailed by Alexis Korner as far back as the 1970s as a great guitarist, Steve is capable of playing Hendrix tunes and more than do them justice along with his more than capable band. It's a great tribute to a great genre and to some of the greatest blues players of all time.
