专辑介绍:

Since "The Eleventh Hour" I've released many albums but continually received requests to do a sequel. This eclectic collection continues the quest for hope and ultimate creativity. "The Eleventh Hour" is to this day probably my favorite record. Its sequel, "11.02" has been a long time in coming, and I want to personally thank all of my fans who supported its creation and release. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the radio programmers and DJ's who gave "The Eleventh Hour" so much support.

When was the last time you listened to a recording and thought "man, this is fun stuff!" 11:02, the conceptual follow up to Lasar's best known album The Eleventh Hour, is exactly that--a major good time. Lasar works with crisp, contemporary beats; smart melodics; a nice overall sound pallet; and great production to make 11:02 an album you will want to listen to repeatedly. Lasar became one of the bigger names in the new age/new instrumental scene in 1990s through a number of successful recordings and exposure everywhere from radio to science museums/IMAX theaters, and the star-studed Omni magazine audio collection. The fresh attitude of 11:02 should not be missed.

Spans Panoramic Dimensions. Lasar's greatest in many years!
By Distant Voyageur (top 500 reviewer)
Although the original Eleventh Hour is without a doubt my favorite release of his to this very day and ways will be, I cannot deny how supervised I was at how great his most recent release "11:04: Panorama" really is. I could arguably say that this is second behind the original outing of this series and is even better than the excellent 11.02 from six years before. Unfortunately as of writing this review, I totally blinked and have missed the third one entitled "When Worlds Collide" as of writing this review. Anyhow back to "Panorama", the music on here is stunningly beautiful yet also powerful and while it has the spirit of the 1993 original, "Panorama" has a totally different sound altogether yet has the magic that turned me to Lasar's music from that point and will to my last days on earth and maybe beyond.

After the brilliant, artistic work known as The Eleventh Hour I had my doubts about him being able to even come close to matching that incredible album but in 1998 I was thankfully proven wrong. This album is the sequel to The Eleventh Hour and it sure comes close to matching it. Although it doesn't topple the 11th Hour, 11:02 was the awesome follow-up that I had waited years for. The only thing this CD lacks is the sort of jazzier songs like Children Of The Night or Why Violate Every Law Of Nature. It's probably this that keeps 11 02 from toppling The Eleventh Hour. Despite that 11:02 is one of my all-time favorite New Age albums.
This trememdous CD begins with a kick with the epic Lords Of Truth. LOT is a dark, haunting song with that has danceable old school hip-hop beats fused with ambient space melodies to create a creative song that actually is very upbeat and gets me up and dancing. No no this is not a dance song. LOT trancends genre boundaries. No Secrets kind of continues the epic sound of Lords Of Truth except that the beat is faster and the music is a bit edgier. I love the space shuttle voice sound effects at the ending. I made no secret about it this song is awesome. Pioneers is a lighter more carefree tune that starts off as a minor and reverts between major minor note keys. The beidge at the middle from 2:58 to 3:27 is almost funky with jazzy keyboards and a jazzy vibe. The song then reverts back into an electronic song and fades out. What an awesome song. Free Fall is a mellower jazzier song with a breeze sound effect, giving the song a more wintery evening feel. Cyber City is like Cellular City part II only this one however surpasses Cellular City. It's a very edgy rock-oriented song with a very futuristic sound, brooding atmosphere, and an upbeat vibe yet this song is also very moody. The song ends with phone sound effects and a laser beam shooting sound effect that ties Cyber City into the next track Deja Vu, which is absolutely haunting, intense, and ominous with a very spacey atmosphere at first and a ticking watch at the beginning. Deja Vu then morphs into a funky yet still haunting song with an awesome beat, haunting voices, creepy vibe and a brooding atmosphere. This song is one of my favorites and makes me feel good. Then song ends with the tick watch fading away. Escape To Reality is another haunting song with a very spacey atmosphere. The song begines with a dark wobbling keyboards and flat beats. It then morphs into an edgier song with a wierd strobelight guitar riff that was sampled from The Smiths 1983 hit 'How Soon Is Now'. One of the best song samplings I've ever heard. House Of Thieves is absolutely creepy. It starts off with a weird cricket sound effect and then morphs into a very ghostly yet funky upbeat song with a very middle of the night sound. This could make good Halloween music. Warpstream 489 is another upbeat song with a haunting atmosphere. This song is probably one of the most upbeat songs on this CD. I often find this song a bit more similar to Live AT The Eleventh Hour although not as jazzy. Wandering Souls is calmer yet another spooky song with a very eerie vibe and thundering beats and wobbly sounding keyboards. The Magician is far less creepy than the previous few tracks and this song is a bit rockier. It's almost very upbeat and brooding. Amys Lullaby III is the third rerecording of the original on the ELeventh Hour. I thought the original was too babyish with the music box being to baby ish. This one however is absolutely haunting, House of Thieves or Wandering Souls, Amys Lullaby III is romantic, and soothing. The final track Final Odyssey is a mournful song with military sounding drums' Gregorian Chants and a brighter more somber melody like walking towards a 2000 foot tall cathedral with the red sun shining from behind and finally arriving after a dark brutal journey. This song is absolutely breathtaking.
I didn't Think that Mars Lasar could come even close to The 1993 masterpiece The Eleventh Hour but he almost matched it in brilliance and creativity. The two previous albums Escape and Sapphire Dreams were good but they don't come close to this one and they don't even do Eleventh Hour justice. Escape is a five star so is Sapphire Dreams but The Eleventh Hour and 11:02 are more like five galaxies instead of just five stars.
These two CDs should be more noticed by the public rather than the overrated Kenny G or Yanni. Trust me they aren't bad at all but Mars Lasar as well as Patrick O'Hearn are far FAR superior to those two.
My hats off to Mr. Lasar for creating one of my favorite New Age albums of all-time. I would go insane if I lost this marvelous CD. It's that good and it's worth the hard search. ...

MARS, is incredible. this is almost as good as the eleventh hour.. thats a huge complement, because i didn,t think that was possible since the eleventh hour gave me goose bumps on the back of my neck. that hasn't happened since Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. I just wanted to say MARS what took you so long? please do it again and again.
Thanks, JT
