Ant says in the tradition of last album, the band continues to pay homage to the trailblazers that have come before them! With an obvious ode to Parliament on the cover of the new single, Ant Boogie says he wanted to go back to the days when a single came out it was hitting so hard it just stretched on and on and on!! “Do you remember when you would buy an Isley Brothers 45 and it had a part one and a part two? Well, because of the digital age our part one and part two is one extended booty shaking single that will definitely have heads nodding and butts out of their seats”.
“We didn’t want to go with the common sound of “neo-soul” on this song. I think the neo-soul sound is kind of playing itself out”, says Ant Boogie. “It’s time to take the neo out of soul and put the funk back in.”
